In loving memory

On Tuesday the 6th of May we lost our beloved Lewis (Lublin, Lewwit) to haemangiosarcoma, a cancer that affects the blood. Although he was ill for the last 4 months he fought back hard and never stopped wagging his tail.

On Tuesday the 6th of May we lost our beloved Lewis (Lublin, Lewwit) to haemangiosarcoma, a cancer that affects the blood. Although he was ill for the last 4 months he fought back hard and never stopped wagging his tail.
ready for another adventure
He was our Black Beauty and traveled with us on many adventures across the USA and the UK, from Hollywood to NYC and from the Isle of Skye to the Isle of Wight. The thing he hated most was when we had to go on a trip without him. He would sulk as soon as he saw the suitcases coming out but he was always sitting at the front window waiting patiently for us when we came home.
Lewis loved his treats and loved to sit on the sofa with us when we watched TV having his tummy scratched and getting cummles (cuddles) from both of us . He was also like his mother Penny and could smell chicken through a brick wall.
Lewis was a wonderful companion and friend to both Scott and I and also to the adopted dogs we introduced into the family. He was amazingly patient and tolerant with them, however much they annoyed him with their rowdy or jealous behaviour. After he put them firmly in their place, they would still end up snuggled in the same basket together.
He is sorely missed and lovingly remembered. It has hit both Scott and I very hard and we have just now on the eve of his 12th birthday been able to write this, If you feel you would like to make a donation to Dogs Trust on behalf of Lewis, he would appreciate it very much.
