John joined an ensemble cast to perform the songs of William Finn in Elegies - a song cycle. at the Arts Theatre in November of 2004. The show ran two nights only, on consecutive Sunday evenings. John gave up his one night off from his full time gig as Billy Flynn in Chicago at the Adelphi, in order to be in the show.
